Polaris charges by the hour, in quarter-hour increments. Our “Base Rate” for service is $120 per hour. Outside of our normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 9:00AM to 5:00PM) we add a surcharge to the Base Rate of 50%. We offer a number of discounts to our customers:
Customers invoiced a certain amount of time each month receive a discount on service, as follows:
- between 5 and 9.75 hours: 3%
- between 10 and 19.75 hours: 5%
- between 20 and 39.75 hours: 7%
- 40 or more hours: 10%.
501(c)(3) non-profits receive a 15% discount.
Customers who sign a Customer Agreement receive a discount off services scheduled on a monthly basis.
Invoices
At the beginning of each month, we send each customer an Invoice detailing services rendered and expenses incurred during the prior month. Invoices are due on receipt (non-profit customers have an additional 30 days in which to pay).
Expenses
Occasionally, materials may need to be purchased. The customer can either purchase items themselves, or request that a Polaris technician do so. If Polaris purchases items and the customer does not have funds on account to cover the cost of the expense, a 25% fee is charged.
Late Fees
Polaris will assess finance charges in the amount of 0.07% per day on any balance which remains unpaid one month (30 days) from the date of an Invoice.
Service Area and Drive Time
Polaris serves customers throughout North Carolina. Many customer issues can be handled remotely. For those issues that require a site visit, we add a charge for drive time, depending on where your business is located. We have a standard drive time of 30 minutes for the Greater Triangle Area, as defined below. For other areas, we determine drive time on a case by case basis.
The Greater Triangle Area, for us, means Carrboro, Chapel Hill, Hillsborough, Durham, RTP, Morrisville, Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Pittsboro and points in between.
