Polaris is open for business. Open solutions and standards are those with an open production and design process, and minimal intellectual property restrictions. When it is practical, we prefer to use Open Source Software (OSS) because it is dynamic, self-correcting, royalty-free, and completely transparent if customization is necessary. The OSS development community is energetic, widespread and motivated. The best OSS projects, like Linux, are used world-wide by governments and large corporations, as well as small businesses and non-profits. Many web applications are open source, which permits the designer and developer to have complete control over the final product. We gladly support these projects through code contributions and donations.
In the same spirit of openness, we publish our own ideas and opinions, as well as our rates and methods. We operate transparently, passing through our industry discounts and information, whenever possible. We hope to enrich our community and ourselves through sharing with others.
